Barn Charm

This farm is just down the road from my house.  It's a Michigan Centennial  farm - which means it's been in one family for 100 years.  The barn and other outbuildings are just standard buildings, but I like the way they look, clustered together, when viewed across the field.

For more barns, visit Tricia at Bluff Area Daily.

Oh, it's really pretty. I love that it's been in the same family for such a long time - and that tree in the foreground is magnificent! I would have wanted to climb it as a kid and maybe just sit up there with a book.

I love to hear that a family has owned their farm for generations!
Great barn find. : )

Love the farm, as seen from this side of that massive old tree. Wonderful! The farm we bought 23 years ago had been in the same family since 1913. Even at the time, it made me so sad to think that none of the children wanted it.

Love it when farms have stayed in the family for 100 years. I also love the way you've framed with with the big tree. Very pretty!

Even if the barn and its outbuildings are just standard buildings your framing makes for a beautiful scene. I'm sure the family who owns it think it's a great place to live since they've been there so long.

This is a lovely setting, and you found the perfect branch to frame this idyllic scene.

I love hearing about families that are still living and farming on the home places......Great tree; it would be a fun one to climb.

Great place!

They're called Century Farms here in Oregon, and there's a lot that goes into having that status!

Thanks for visiting my blog this week!

Not sure why the rollover (mouseover) didn't work for some people (same code I've always used), but I've since added before/after pictures in separately should you have time to come back and look.
