February 5

My sister, Cheri and I went to Grand Haven today. We thought we would stop at the lake and see the ice build up. We were really surprised at how little ice there was. Usually, the pier and the lighthouse are really covered in it at this time. Our winter has been milder than usual, so I guess that accounts for less ice. It's crazy that other areas are really getting pounded, while we are enjoying a milder winter.
We enjoyed our stop here, even with minimal ice!

The touch of red of the lighthouse and the building is so picturesque. What is the building at the end of the pier?

Ah, we took the snow for you here in DC! Hope you've enjoyed your mild winter; I've enjoyed the record-breaking snows. It's a beautiful beach. I've never been to any beach past Thanksgiving time, so it's lovely to see a winter scene.

Thanks for sharing!

Mari, this is gorgeous! The snow does look like sand. Glad you're having a milder than normal winter. You can keep taking these great photos to remind all us snowbound photographers what the ground looks like without it!!
