Our Forsythia bushes are blooming. These flowers don't last long, but give such a nice splash of yellow. Speaking of splashes - it's raining again today, and the weathermen are saying we could have snow tomorrow!
I'm not sure I've ever really seen forsythia but with a name like that it conjures up visions of a beautiful Southern plantation. But then, if it grew on Southern plantations, I probably would have seen it! Maybe I have and the picture is just lost somewhere among the folds of my brain (along with tomorrow's grocery list perhaps and the car registration renewal - which, by the way, I eventually found on the refrigerator door where I had put it so I'd be sure to find it!)
Mari, our forsythias are in bloom here in the east. Beautiful capture you have, though. These cameras truly help us see things in a different light, and capture stuff like beads of moisture on the blooms.
LOVE the color!! We got rain last night. Supposed to get down to 34 tonight! Only 50 for a high tomorrow. But warmer weather for the weekend!! Take care.
Forsythia bushes are the one bloom I miss the most living in So. California. In Ohio they were always a sure sign spring had arrived when I lived in Ohio.
Since we moved to Lake City we have tried to get forsythia bushes to grow, but not so far... hoping this year I can see those lovely blooms. Great picture!
Mari, I love how you captured the raindrops on those lovely yellow leaves. Nicely done! What? More snow? Wow...you must really be looking forward to warm weather! We actually had a some sunshine yesterday and today.....I know...imagine that! LOL
I am a Christian wife, mom to 5 and Grandma to two adorable little girls. I have 2 daughters and a son who were born to me and 2 sons who joined our family by marrying our daughters. I have been married to a wonderful Christian man for over 30 years. I work as a nurse at a long term care center, where I am blessed to get to know many older people and their families.

I love yellow - and the dew coming down the flower is an awesome catch. Well done...

My forsythia flowers are long gone. Just wanted you to know that I look forward to your photos every day.
