September 16

I frequently pass this old barn and wonder how it is even standing anymore. I don't think it will survive winter and snow on it's roof. It looks like it was once a really classy building and it's sad to see it look like this.

Mari - I found you blog thru our mutual friend Ginger. Your pictures are beautiful, and you have inspired me to dust off my camera and capture a few memories!

It looks like a strong wind would just knock it down, let alone snow!

Very pretty shot - the colors are great.

don't you sometimes wonder when looking at these what the history was and what was going on when it was built?

what a beautiful photo. sad to think it won't be around much longer even if it survives another winter!

Wow! That is amazing. I love the soft light you captured this in. You have to go back in the wintertime and see how it looks with some snow on it...if it's still there!

That is a sad, tired barn. You're right, I doubt it will last the winter :-(

Yes, nature has finally worn this old place down, just like she does the rest of us. Also like the rest of us, the character still shines through and usually is enhanced. I too would love to see another picture in a few months.

Old barns have such character and history. I hate to see them in this condition, too! Great pic!
