While driving the back roads, I found this log cabin. I think it looks like an old one, and I think it fits right into the woods.

it looks well kept up! my parents have a log cabin in the mountains..I have wonderful memories from my time there. When they decided to expand it a bit, I was so happy that they kept the log cabin "look", unlike those around them that were tearing them down and building houses.

As they say in WI "It looks like up nort - hey"

It does look like it belongs and someone had the wisdom to put it there and keep it there. Great pic.

I like the vertical lines of the tree trunks and the horizontal lines of the log cabin.

I does look like it fits into woods, I agree. It reminds me of visiting a friend's camp many years ago. Thanks for the memories.

It almost looks like the forest was planted around the cabin! LOL!

I just LOVE the beauty around your area...What a cool cabin! I like they built the house in between all the trees...

I love log cabins, even the new fancy one's, but the old one's are the best. Great picture.

I would love to just vacation there for a week. No phones...just nature.

Oh...and the "flutes" that you mentioned. I don't know for sure, but I was told that they're from mud daubber wasps.
