November 12

The Grand Rapids Zoo has a program called the traveling zoo.  They visit schools and nursing homes with some smaller animals, and give a little presentation on the animals they bring.
Today they came and visited the Nursing Home where I work.  They brought several animals including this bearded dragon.  What an interesting creature!
Our residents had a great time seeing these animals up close and getting a chance to hold some of them.

So very cool! I think it's neat that they come to senior care facilities as well....there's still a great desire to live and learn even in those older years, so to speak.

That's a fantastic photo, but forgive me for saying...that bearded dragon is a little creepy lookin'....maybe it's the look in it's eye. lol Love the orange and yellow colors on it. I'm sure the residents really enjoyed these little creatures. :)

P.S. How do you get your pictures so big? I suppose I would probably have to have a two column blog huh? I don't like that my pics are so small. Sometimes you can click on them to enlarge them and then other times like tonight, I click on them, but they won't enlarge. Don't know what's up with that.I guess my blog has a mind of it's own. lol

Debra and Kim,
This is what I do to get my pictures bigger:
Prepare you post and picture as usual. When you have it ready to go, click on the 'edit HTML' tab next to the compose tab on the post box.
I always have my picture at the top of my post, so the HTML for my picture is at the top of the post box. Look at all those letters and numbers and in the middle of it (usually about 3 or 4 rows down) you will see something that says: /s400/IMG
You need to change it to /s640/IMG

After you do this, click back on the compose button. You should see your photo in a bigger form.
Now post it and make sure it fits on your blog. I had to change the HTML on my blog a little to make mine fit. If it doesn't work, you can always go back in and change those numbers back to 400 again.

Hope this helps!
