We have had a lot of beautiful weather here this year. Today was another example of an unusually nice day for November. The temperature reached the mid 50's and the sun shone all day. On my way to the grocery store I decided to make a stop at some property our county recently purchased along the Grand River which is about 3 miles from my house. There was a house here until this summer, when the family sold this property. It's a nice place where anyone can now stop and fish or take a walk along the river. These little steps lead from the lawn down to the river bank.

Ok Mari, you might think this is weird, but I thought I'd share anyway. lol When I looked at this picture it made me think of marriage and how if you don't keep climbing and striving up that hill, you'll never receive the blessings on the otherside! In your picture...you can't see the that there is a beautiful river on the otherside....and if a person was too lazy to climb up that hill....they would totally miss out on the blessing of enjoying that river. So many are willing to give up on their marriages because they think the climb is too hard and they miss out on the wonderful blessing on the otherside. The blessing of a blissful, happy marriage is SO worth the climb and effort!
I guess this is just on my heart lately and that's why your picture brought it to mind. If only everyone would understand that God can repair marriages and make them what He intended them to be, but they have to be willing to put in the effort! Sorry for rambling on! ~ Debra

I'm going to take off on what Debra said.....last week in the message at church our Pastor commented on the position of lying prostrate/flat before the Lord, and that there are some things you won't learn in the Spirit standing or sitting, but you must humble yourself and become prostrate before the Lord. Marriage is that as well....a great marriage of humbling yourself before the other person, how God can bless that! When I saw this picture it looked to me as if someone was lying down flat when they took it...I was making note of the perspective, and then read Debra's comment. It truly looks like a beautiful place!
