November 3

I had the day off today, but was very busy at home.  I spent much of the day in the kitchen.  I made 8 meals, that are freezer friendly and stocked my freezer.  I like to do this occasionally to take advantage of sales and cooking in bulk.  It saves money and limits the mess to one day.  And it's really nice to have a few meals ready to go!
I just finished this last project.  These cookie bars are to go with a meal that is going to someone in our church.  It 's been a good day!

Glad we can't gain weight just by looking at this delicious thing...

Great photo, Mari!

Ohhh those look scrumptious. I'm with Dot O...they are totally calorie free on here ;)

What kinds of things do you make to freeze? I'm always looking for new ideas, especially now that I'm by myself. I did make a big pot of chili...that lasted for a few weeks.

YUM-MMY! Love the M&M Bars. And since it's finally starting to cool off around here I'll start spending a day cooking meals ahead. It's so nice on those nights when you don't have to think of what to make :-)
Thanks for the reminder.

That looks fantastic - you certainly had an industrious 'day off'.

Thanks Mari for you comment on my lesson 5 photo. Yes, my teacher does give me great tips on how to improve and I love that! In our class we have a forum where you can write in questions for her to answer or anyone else in class can answer as well, and I've learned so much from that, as well as our live chats with the teacher a couple of times a week. She is awesome and I can't wait to take the Portrait Class in the spring.

What freezer meals did you make today? Can you share? Mmmm, the cookie bars look heavenly right now! lol

Awe shucks, now I'm craving cookie bars! :(

I do the same thing with freezing meals and {{heart}} it when there is a day I don't feel like cooking or it's just plain busy.

Oh YUM, that looks so good.
I cook a bunch of meals to freeze sometimes too. Make it easier to get something out to heat up after a long days work!
