April 4

This is a last remnant of a blossom on our hydrangea tree. This year the flower heads stayed on all through the winter. You can see what it looked like this winter, here. The other day Bob clipped all the old blossoms off, but this little section stayed, and I thought it looked kind of pretty, even though it's kind of withered.

It does look pretty! I like its delicate, see-through look. But I guess it wasn't too delicate to make it through the harsh winter! Sometimes the least likely objects make the most stunning photos.

It almost looks like it's made of thin gossamer paper. Such an interestng perspective.

It looks like one strong hydrangea tree to me! It survived a major winter in your yard. Awesome.

That is pretty! We tried to grow hydrangea but they took too much water so we gave them away. Our soil is clay and they didn't like the hot sun. I do love hydrangea though.

I am still looking at this flower. It is so old fashioned looking. Really sweet!

Ah, that's what dry, cold winters do for you. It would never survive our damp, wet season. You do have a good eye for beauty that most of us would miss.
