February 20

Today was a sad day at the Nursing Home where I work. Our Administrator is leaving to work in another Nursing Home. He has been a wonderful person to work for, someone that cares about staff and residents. He has always been willing to listen to us and family members were always welcomed in to talk about anything they needed to. He does special things for our residents including taking some of the guys out to McDonald's frequently.
We had a farewell lunch today which his wife and 2 of his sons were able to come to.
The place he is going to has had a lot of problems and I think he will be a great help to them. We all wish him well!

I know how important it is for an administator to have feelings, especially towards the residents and his staff. Hopefully you will be blessed with another exceptional director.

Yes. Originally with a friend, and now left to find a new job, people are very sad. Wish your friends in the new job a pleasant job.

I know the feeling Mari....we lost our wonderful Admin. three years ago....and, unfortunately, things have not been the same since. I hope you are luckier and receive another caring open person. It can make all the difference, for sure!

That is so difficult - losing a boss who is so caring and whom everybody loves... I hope his replacement is just as good.

BTW, is his wife into photography? I noticed the strap over her left shoulder......
